Yes, it is mandatory to have an English proficiency test.
IELTS – Most of the universities require a minimum of 6.5 band and above.
TOEFL – Most of the universities requires a minimum of 90 points and above
Public universities from Germany do not have tuition fees or a nominal fee for Bachelor and Master
programs, for all international students, regardless of their country of origin.
Apart from public universities, other private universities do charge a tuition fee, which differs from
each university and field of study.
For the English taught programs, it is not mandatory but recommended for integrating into society,
which also helps to get a part-time job during studies and at a later stage to secure a full-time job.
However, if you wish to study in German taught programs, then Yes, it is mandatory to learn the
German language up to the level of C1, including the passing of language tests like Testdaf, DSH, etc.
Generally, it differs for each university and field of study; however, it is recommended to secure a
minimum of 7 and above CGPA (out of 10 scales).

etc. are vital to get scholarships. Minimum aggregate marks of 85 % and above or CGPA 8.5/10 are
